7 EPIC MARITIME CAMPGROUNDS TO VISIT

Camping on Crown Land

The Maritimes is full of tremendous sites to spend the night and connect with the great outdoors while camping in the Maritimes. We have soo much water access as well as impeccable views we are lucky to be able to spend the night looking at stars or listening to the rustling waves along the coastline. The Canadian Maritimes are an amazing spot to explore via numerous amazing campgrounds and here are my top 7.

So here are 7 of the best campsites in the Maritimes for you to checkout.

Fortress of Louisbourg (Cape Breton, Nova Scotia)

Imagine camping inside a large fortress built 1720-1740. Not only the experience of camping inside this old site but because you will be camping inside tents of that same era as well as cooking and eating in that same manner. This is one site I’ve never actually camped at but will someday (every time I attempt too, they are booked solid).

Fundy National Park (Alma, New Brunswick)

The National Park next to Alma, New Brunswick is definitely one of my favorite spots of the Maritimes. Actually, you can say Alma alone is so putting a campground right next to it would definitely qualify the campground as a potentially good location. Whats better is that it IS a top-notch park.

The Anchorage Provincial Park (Grand Manan, New Brunswick)

Grand Manan always an amazing get-away. The hour ferry from mainland-New Brunswick is a joyful and relaxing drive that you are heading into a special destination.

Amherst Shore Provincial Park (Amherst, Nova Scotia)

Anywhere along the North Shore of Nova Scotia is amazing. Especially when you have the chance to observe the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis dance over Prince Edward Island. While I have yet to see this happen from Nova Scotia over my lovely home province, I have been out on nights where the potential existed.
